Humans do not need to be lean to be healthy
Instead we need to look after our mental & physical well-being.
To do this we need to be mentally, physically and socially active.
We need to manage our stress levels and take time out to reflect or meditate.
We need to eat well most of the time and feel ok with relaxing our eating in order to celebrate special occasions or just to unwind.
Most of all we need to be more compassionate with ourselves as we are with others who we see struggling to improve their health. If your friend slips up with their good intentions, you don’t berate them, you encourage them. We need to learn to do this with ourselves as berating yourself only encourages self sabotage and leads to reduced mental and physical health.
